By default, WooCommerce doesn’t provide the option to display or change the author of a product. This can be inconvenient, especially if you need to assign or reassign the author of a product.
Our plugin addresses this issue by adding support for the ‘author’ field to the WooCommerce ‘product’ post type. Once installed, the product author will be visible in the product list, the product edit screen, and the quick edit screen.
Why Do You Need This Plugin?
There are various scenarios where you might need to change the author of a WooCommerce product. For example, if you’re a developer who imported your client’s products before launch, you might need to reassign all products to the client’s user account.
Another common scenario occurs when an employee who initially added products leaves the team. To ensure that emails and notifications are not sent to their email address anymore, you’ll need to update the product author to a different user.
